Scrapbooking Memories Blog Hop
Welcome to my very first Blog Hop. With some of the Scrapbooking Memories 2012-13 Masters and Creative Team involved, you know there will be an amazing array of work for you to look at.
Remember to have a guess at the secret theme at Scrapbooking Memories in the comments section. I hope you have had a chance to visit all the blogs before me and leave some love (in the form of a comment), but if not, there is a list below.
Anyway, on to my project. I created a layout for a recent photo of me nursing my new great niece Lily (great as in she is awesome, because obviously I’m not old enough to be a great aunty – or so I wish!). This was taken at the after party of her christening, she was so tired but I got to have a big Lily fix as she fell asleep in my arms- she is gorgeous and I see many more Lily layouts in my future lol.
The inspiration for this page started with the left over pieces from another layout.
I had used the Sunshine stencil on a 6×12″ piece of teal cardstock to form sunrays. I then used the left overs (pieces I cut out) to start this page. This teal colour coordinated perfectly with Kaiser’s Sweet Pea range and I used flowers from Manorhouse Creations, but the rest of the embellishments were made using Sweet Pea papers – die cut flower from Heartfelt Creations, custom epoxy shapes using the Epiphany Tool and punched leaves. I also used embossing powder to coat my brads so they matched the papers – Ranger’s powders are so creamy, smooth and set with a matte finish – which I love.
Below are some close ups of the embellishments I used:
Products I Used:
Comfort Craft Distress Tool
Epiphany Shape Studio Tool – 25mm Square
Heartfelt Creations/Spellbinders Die – Sweet Juliet
Heidi Swapp 12×12″ Stencil – Sunshine

Manorhouse Creations Flowers – Everlasting
Martha Stewart Punch – Medium Branch
Ranger Embossing Powder – Red Pepper
Sizzix On The Edge Die – Brackets
